Description
Omeprazole is used to lower stomach acid. It is effective in treating acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion and most conditions related to excess stomach acid. It reduces the production of acid in the stomach relieving the symptoms such as burping, a burning sensation in the chest, feeling full, heavy or bloated and pain in the stomach.
Warnings
Do not use if:
- Develop indigestion or stomach pain
- Sudden weight loss
- Have trouble swallowing
- Have liver problems
- Notice blood in vomit or stools
Directions
Directions for use:
- Swallow 1 capsule once a day with water
- Follow the doctor’s instructions for the course of medication
- Speak to your prescriber if you do not notice an improvement in symptoms within a few days
Ingredients
The active ingredient contained in Omeprazole capsules is Omeprazole 20mg. Omeprazole capsules also contain the following inactive ingredients: disodium phosphate, sugar spheres, sodium lauryl sulphate, mannitol, hypromellose, polyethene glycol 6000, talc, polysorbate 80, titanium dioxide, eudragit L30-D55 (poly), (methacrylic acid, ethyl acrylate), gelatin, quinolone yellow (E104), titanium dioxide (E171).
